Women's Health Clinic

Nurses at Health ClinicThe Women’s Health program is provided in collaboration with the state Department of Public Health and is a satellite of the Muscogee County Health Department. The Women's Health Clinic is not financed by student health fees. Fees for this service are assessed on a sliding scale basis determined by the Muscogee County Health Department.

Prospective patients should know:

  • The clinic is staffed by certified women’s health nurses.
  • All discussions are confidential.
  • Medical records are not part of your university record.
  • All visits are by appointment only, including those to obtain refills.
  • Annual physical exams will take at least an hour.
  • A screening nurse consultation is available on a walk-in basis.
  • Doctors are not available during semester breaks.

Services Offered

  • Annual examination, including Pap test.
  • Birth control, including oral contraceptives, diaphragms and Depo-Provera.
  • Sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing.
  • Pregnancy testing and referral.
  • Infection, testing, evaluation and treatment.
